Health and Safety Training by Remote Trauma

Health and Safety Training

Whether you are a television production manager based in the office or the in country manager in the field, everyone is susceptible to the hazards generated on location. Failure to identify and control these hazards can lead to accidents, injuries and ill health. Failure to deal promptly and effectively with a first aid incident can be fatal.

Remote Trauma aims to raise awareness and understanding of your legal duties and obligations to others and to ensure a safe, healthy and productive working environment. Our first aid training has been designed to enable you to successfully deal with stressful and demanding incidents with confidence.

Pre-vetting Contactors

The correct selection and employment of Contractors is a legal requirement and can lead to a safe and hassle free production.

Here at Remote Trauma, we cut out the uncertainty in this process! We have an ever-expanding list of Contractors we have vetted on your behalf to ensure you hire only those who are safety conscious. We check their Health and Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Qualifications and Insurance details before adding them to our exclusive list.

If you are seeking specialist Contractors who are not on our list, give Remote Trauma their details and we’ll pre-vet them on your behalf!

Health and Safety Auditing by Remote Trauma

Health and Safety Audits

Nothing ever remains the same and as such, neither should your Health and Safety documents should you wish to remain legally compliant!

We will audit your current documents and bring them up to date both legislatively and organisationally. If we discover your documents are not up to Remote Trauma standard, we will offer a full re-write done in conjunction with your own requirements.

Health and Safety Policies by Remote Trauma

Health and Safety Policies

Health and Safety Policies are another legal requirement and as such every company employing over five people should have one!

A good Health and Safety Policy details the company’s commitment to health and safety, the roles and responsibilities of those within the company itself and the arrangements in place for the management of health and safety.

Rather than battling through legislation attempting to create a legally compliant Health and Safety Policy, why not pass this task on to the Remote Trauma team! We will ensure we produce a company specific policy in conjunction with your own requirements.

Urban Unrest Training by Remote Trauma

Conflict Management Training

Producing thought provoking and high rating television is in every creative's DNA. But what if the subject matter is contentious, controversial, emotive and presents a physical risk to your crews.
It is possible to influence the outcome of a potentially difficult filming encounter and successfully return to the edit with good quality footage. But to ensure your crews remain physical and mentally intact they will need some training.

Rope Access by Remote Trauma

Rope Access

Getting the ideal shot sometime requires climbing, suspending or placing a member of crew in what is considered a working at height location. The use of scaffolding, ladders or mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) may not be suitable. If climbing harnesses and ropes are the only suitable form of gaining access to film, then you need to call Remote Trauma. All our rope access specialists have experience working in television / film production and offer practical support, advice and planning for the most challenging of shoots. Working to Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) standards means you will be safe, legally compliant and you will get the shot.
